Ally's Shrimp salmon flies for sale

Many anglers ask to purchase authentic Ally's Shrimps and other patterns that have proved to be successful for salmon and trout all over the World. Well known writer and author Alastair Gowans invented them. These flies are available tied specially to order on double, single and treble hooks. Best quality materials are used and flies can be specified with or without Crystal Hair.  Demand for flies during the fishing season is high, therefore orders for flies during the close season will ensure speedy delivery. Tube fly versions can also be supplied. Tube flies are very popular in the springtime. Terms and Conditions of Sale

Ally's Shrimp
This Ally's Shrimp is is the original Ally's Shrimp invented in 1981 and was first publicised in 1988. This is probably the most used Atlantic salmon fly in the World. Does well at any time of year.

Silver Ally's Shrimp
Silver Ally's Some anglers swear by this pattern and who could blame them? It is very good all year round in any conditions.

Red Lurex Ally's
Red Lurex Ally's was an attempt to better the effectiveness of the original pattern and sometimes it does that, especially in the autumn and in small sizes for grilse.

Ally's Special Shrimp
Ally's Special Shrimp has an orange and red double collar hackle. If I had only one fly from August onwards, this would be my choice.

Cascade
Cascade is another great success story. Originally tied as a joke it has turned out to be the top fly on several rivers over the past few years. Two versions are available, gold or silver bodies. (Specify with order.)

Yellow Ally's Shrimp
Yellow Ally's Shrimp Originally tied with a yellow floss rear body, Robin McLeod ex Head Fisherman at Dochfour on the R. Ness improved it by adding silver. A great fly in peaty water or very clear water combined with bright light.

Tummel Shrimp
Tummel Shrimp arose from the need to have a reliable dark coloured fly. It combines the proven colour combinations of the Willie Gunn and the Thunder and Lightning to produce a grand fly.

Ally's Yellow Shrimp
Ally's Yellow Shrimp was an experiment to try to catch some evasive Tummel salmon a few years ago, and I'm glad to say that it was very successful. Does well too in very small sizes for grilse in low water.

Red Ally's Shrimp
Red Ally's Shrimp, red was tied immediately after the initial success of the original version. It is especially good at tempting stale fish and is effective through autumn when red colours are favored by the salmon.

Black Ally's Shrimp
Any black and silver salmon fly is deadly in clear or icy water and the Black Ally's Shrimp is one of the very best in such conditions. Small sizes for low water and big sizes for Norway

Brown Ally's Shrimp
Brown Ally's shrimp is a subtle fly that is very good for brown trout as well as salmon. Good in clear water.

Green Ally's Shrimp
Green Ally's Shrimp is a superb fly in cold, clear water, it also shows up well in coloured water and is always a favourite in the spring.
